Safeguarding Children

Board declaration of compliance with safeguarding children arrangements

The NHS Chief Executive has written to all NHS Trusts setting out safeguarding requirements and NHS Trust Boards are required to publish a full and detailed declaration on their websites of their compliance with these arrangements.

Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust works hard with partner organisations to ensure that all patients including children are cared for in a safe, secure and caring environment. As a result a number of safeguarding children arrangements are in place. These include: a proactive safeguarding children team, flagging systems for children subject to child protection plans, a robust child protection training schedule, written updates for all staff on safeguarding children issues, participation in multi-agency audit and Trust membership and active participation in two Local Safeguarding Children Boards and sub-groups.

The full declaration is below.

“Quality of care, sympathy and sensitivity demonstrated by everyone from the ward manager to the cleaners.”
