This illustrated booklet has been produced to help with the communication between patients and staff. The phrases have been translated from English into a number of different languages - Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Czech, Farsi, French, Gujarati, Hindi, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Somali, Swahili, Turkish and Urdu.
Many of the phrases are represented pictorially and therefore could be used by any patient experiencing communication difficulty.
This booklet only covers basic communication. More detailed assessment and/or discussion will require an interpreter.
