Guidelines for donations
All gifts of a monetary nature (e.g. cash, cheques or other valuable goods) received by any person employed or acting on behalf of the Trust must be declared without any delay to the Cashier. The Cashier will issue the person depositing the donation with a receipt.
Staff may receive donations made at ward level provided the form below is completed and taken to the Cashier as soon as possible. A receipt must be obtained and given to the donor.
If the donor stipulates that the donation is to be utilised for a specific purpose, this information should be passed onto Marcia McKnight, Head of Communications, on 020 8375 2578 or marcia.mcknight@nhs.net. If the donation cannot be used as requested, the donor will be offered an alternative within the same ward/department.
Potential donors must be informed that all cheques should be made payable to Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals NHS Trust and not individual staff members of the Trust. Staff are reminded that it is unlawful to set up a bank account outside of the Trust to deposit and withdraw charitable donations.
