Help the Mayor of Barnet support our Dementia service
Cllr Brian Schama, the Mayor of Barnet, is raising money to purchase Tiptree Tables for Barnet Hospital which cost £17,000 each and form part of our dementia strategy.
It is our aim to have a Tiptree Table at every ward station to help manage both the mental and physical symptoms of a dementia patient's stay on our wards. As a café-style activity table, the Tiptree table includes specialised equipment that helps reduce anxiety, dehydration, malnutrition and wandering-related falls. These benefits can be felt without the patient being confined to their bed or bedside.
The other local charity to benefit from the Mayor's fundraising committee efforts is Barnet Carers.

“During my three days stay, I didn't meet one unfriendly employee. Everyone was so experienced, nice and helpful, which made the experience of giving birth less stressful.”
