Payroll giving
Payroll giving is a flexible scheme which allows employees paid through PAYE to give regularly and on a tax free basis to a charity of their choice. Once you fill out the initial form, that's it - the rest is done for you.
Providing your employer offers Payroll giving, all you have to do is authorise your employer to deduct regular charitable donations from your pay. Your employer then pays these donations to a Payroll giving agency, approved by the Inland Revenue, who passes the money to your charity of choice. The Charities Aid Foundation is the Trust approved agency.
Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax, so each £5 you pledge will only cost you £3.90 at the standard rate of tax or £3 at the higher rate.
For further information or a Give as you Earn donor instruction form please contact Marcia McKnight, Head of Communications, on 020 8375 2578 or marcia.mcknight@nhs.net.
“During my three days stay, I didn't meet one unfriendly employee. Everyone was so experienced, nice and helpful, which made the experience of giving birth less stressful.”
