Mayor of Barnet supporting the Trust

Created 06/06/2012 11:00

Cllr Brian Schama, the Mayor of Barnet, has chosen Barnet Hospital as one of his charities to raise money for during his term of office.

The Mayor will be supporting us by raising money for the Tiptree Tables which form part of our dementia strategy. It is our aim to have a Tiptree Table at every ward station to help manage both the mental and physical symptoms of a dementia patient’s stay on our wards. As a café-style activity table, the Tiptree table includes specialised equipment that helps reduce anxiety, dehydration, malnutrition and wandering-related falls. These benefits can be felt without the patient being confined to their bed or bedside.
