Big freeze fails to impact on Trust services

Staff in snowDespite the best efforts of Mother Nature to bring Britain to a standstill, services at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospital are running as normal, due in no small part to the continued efforts of staff to brave the weather.

A strong teamwork ethic has certainly been visible across the Trust in the last week as departments did all they could to ensure adequate staffing. Some employees living close to the hospital even invited their colleagues to stay with them rather than risk being snowed in at home. All patients who were due for an outpatient appointment were called and assured that their appointment was still going ahead. Patients who wanted to re-arrange were able to do so.

The Trust Board would like to thank all members of staff for their perseverance throughout recent days and also to reassure patients that their appointments will still be going ahead.

“Consistent and professional care, delivered in a friendly way.”
