Hospitals welcoming public on annual summer Open Days

Members of the public are invited to attend the Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals' Open Days on 3 July (Barnet Hospital) and 10 July (Chase Farm Hospital).

The brightest and the best of our Trust services will be on display at the Open Days, which run between 1pm and 4pm. Visitors can see how we've added new personal touches to the care we provide on wards with our Patient Experience Strategy and Releasing Time to Care project. Free blood pressure checks will also be available throughout both Open Days.

The big draw at Barnet Hospital's Open Day will be the special preview of the new Garden Room for relatives of End of Life patients. This peaceful retreat was built as a result of charitable donations from Trusts and individuals, as well as the proceeds from last year's 5k Fun Run/Walk. Chase Farm Hospital's Open Day has a special attraction of its own: the chance to see the £1.5m da Vinci Surgical Robot, which is currently being leased as the Trust raises the money to buy it outright.

Aside from the clinical wizardry, the Open Days are a chance to enjoy free fruit, browse book and jewellery stalls, take advantage of a cut-price car wash in Barnet Hospital's car park (provided by Hospital Radio Barnet) and find out how to pursue a career in our hospitals. There will be no charge for parking during the events.

Whether you're looking for fun, education or employment, there's something for everyone at the Trust Open Days. We look forward to seeing you there.

“Every step of the treatment was explained. My opinion was asked and respected. I could not have received better treatment anywhere else.”

“During my three days stay, I didn't meet one unfriendly employee. Everyone was so experienced, nice and helpful, which made the experience of giving birth less stressful.”
