Consultant led unit - Chase Farm Hospital
The Consultant Led Unit at Chase Farm Hospital is for women/babies experiencing complications during pregnancy/labour or for women who have medical problems requiring specialist care.
The unit comprises of:
- 9 birthing rooms which have shared en-suite facilities
- 2 obstetric theatres
- 2-bedded theatre recovery ward.
- 2 multi purpose usage rooms with bereavement facilities.
There is a 28-bedded antenatal/postnatal ward called Hertford Ward. The Unit is supported by a Special Care Baby unit.
A dedicated team of midwives, medical staff and health care assistants will care for you.
You will have access to all forms of pain relief including epidural.
