Haematology/Oncology

The Haematology service runs Outpatient Clinics at Barnet Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital seeing patients with many blood disorders including cancers, where patients are given rapid access. There is a separate Chemotherapy Suite and a Day Unit at Barnet Hospital and a Haematology/Oncology Unit at Chase Farm Hospital where patients can receive a number of different treatments including chemotherapy and blood transfusions. Solid Tumour chemotherapy and radiotherapy is centralised at North Middlesex University Hospital. There are also Consultant-led clinics in the local community hospitals.

Anti-coagulation

The Consultant Nurse-led anti-coagulation service treats and monitors an average of nearly 300 patients a day at multiple primary and secondary care locations within the catchment area.
