Women's services
The Directorate of Women's Services is led by Mr Adam Rodin, Clinical Director supported by Elizabeth Raidan, General Manager.
Gynaecology services
The Gynaecology departments offer a holistic approach to women's care over a range of outpatient, day surgery and inpatient services. The Gynaecology departments are multidisciplinary units whose doctors, nurses and health care professionals aim to provide excellent gynaecological care to women within a clean and efficient environment and with care and sensitivity.
Colposcopy service
The Colposcopy service offers diagnostic colposcopy, outpatient treatment clinics and cytology clinics on a weekly basis. This is offered both Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. Staff that are accredited by the BSCCP or are undergoing direct supervised training work in all the clinics. Inpatient laser treatment is offered to those who are unsuitable for outpatient treatment.

Gynaecology cancer
We offer rapid access and follow-up clinics each week for women with suspected gynaecological malignancy. We treat early stage gynaecological malignancies at the Trust and refer advanced cases to the Cancer Centre at UCH as per network guidelines.
Urogynaecology and pelvic floor
Urogynaecology services include the care of women with incontinence, bladder problems including recurrent UTI, bladder pain and voiding difficulties. Urodynamics is offered as a one-stop Consultant delivered clinic once a week.
Minimal access surgery
The service encompasses:
- Diagnostic hysteroscopy to investigate abnormal uterine bleeding. This is either done as day surgery or in a "one stop" out-patient clinic
- Operative hysteroscopy for hysteroscopic myomectomy, endometrial ablation, metroplasty and adhesiolysis
- Complex operative laparoscopy for ovarian cysts, endometriosis, adhesions, infertility, pelvic pain and fibroids.
Early Pregnancy Unit
There is an Early Pregnancy Unit at both Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. This is a multidisciplinary specialist unit for women who need care for problems in early pregnancy. The unit is open Monday to Friday. Referrals are either from GP or the Emergency Department.
